The Cobá pyramid, like the dozens of Mayan pyramids on Yucatan, is located in the jungle, which for many centuries has made it impossible for it to be discovered by European conquerors. As one of the few pyramids, it is freely accessible to tourists and despite its considerable height, or because of it, it is very popular with tourists. We find it about 60 km from the seaside town of Tulum to the northwest.
