In Lucerne, which is divided by the river Reuss, you will find a number of bridges, but only one is really worth a visit – the Chapel Bridge. Not only is it very beautiful, but also the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe. Although it is actually just its reconstructed counterpart, because it almost burned down in 1993. It is also interesting that it is built diagonally across the river.
