Near Heřmanov Hradec you will find the 14-meter-high Barborka lookout tower, built in 2004. Although the lookout tower is not too big, it still provides beautiful views of both the Iron and Eagle Mountains and the flat fertile Elbe region full of orchards towards Pardubice. The lookout tower got its name from the patron saint of miners, St. Barbora, because the local quarries took place in the 16th-17th century mined stone for the production of millstones.
