International air: there are two main air gateways to Thailand. Either Bangkok with its two huge airports Suvarnabhumi Airport (46 million passengers) and Don Mueang Airport (22 million passengers) or Phuket (11 million passengers), which is mainly used for charter flights. Domestic air traffic: Dense domestic air traffic operates throughout the country. The most common line is between Bangkok and Chiang Mai in the north of the country.
