Trip on the Chao Phraya River
Wat Arun is without a doubt one of the top five most important sights in Bangkok, so it is a destination for almost all visitors to this city. Unlike all the other most famous landmarks of the city, it lies on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, so most sail here. It is either possible to use only the ferry across the river or take a longer cruise and still enjoy the views of the city from the boat
Phra Sumen Fort
We start the trip at the picturesque fortress of Phra Sumen, which served in earlier times as one of the main parts of Bangkok's defense
Santichaiprakan Park at the fortress
There is also a small public park by the fortress with a view of the river
View from the park to the fortress
The fortress looks more like a summer house, but it is visible from the galleries
View of the Rama VIII bridge
Not far from the fortress is the Phra Arthit pier, where you can board a boat in the direction of Wat Arun. In front of you will be a view of the impressive Rama VIII Bridge, which is almost half a kilometer long.
Cruise
Tourist boats are open with a nice view
Modern Bangkok

Wat Rakhang
The most beautiful view on this payment is the Wat Rakhang temple, which is also worth a visit
View of Wat Pho
On the other side of the river is the even more famous Wat Pho
