Comfortable romance without electricity
This mountain hut, owned by the Czech Tourists Club, is the westernmost Czech Krkonoše ridge hut. It is located only 9 km east of Harrachov, but due to its location it is less known and visited.
Secluded shed
It is the only tourist mountain hut that is not connected to the electricity network and electricity production is provided by its own diesel generator. It is also interesting that 500 m from the hut there is an official border crossing Vosecká bouda / Svinské kameny and the beginning of 28 km long Czech-Polish road friendship.
Outdoor seating
It is pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views. It just has to be the right wind so you don't get bothered by the smoke from the diesel generator.
Outlooks
The hut lies on the edge of an extensive border meadow. After the last tourists leave, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the nearby Jizera Mountains.
Stylish interior
Thanks to the fact that, as one of the few buildings in the Krkonoše Mountains, it was not affected by fire in the past, it has retained the original character of the interior. It is complemented by retro elements.
Accommodation and meals
The hut was rebuilt for use in tourism in 1896, when guest rooms first appeared here. Today's form is after the extension after the end of World War II. It is open all year round and offers 40 beds in double to quadruple rooms and a dormitory. Toilets, washrooms and showers are shared in the hallway. After 10 pm, only the emergency lights are on. The stylish dining room offers snacks and hot meals.
