Visit to the port of Puerto de Mogán
Or Venice on Gran Canaria
The port of Mogán is the most beautiful town in the south of the island. It is not possible to drive to the historic Puerta de Mogán, which preserves its traditional Canarian character. There are many restaurants and shops in the marina and adjacent streets, and everything is picturesque.
Road to the center
To visit Mogán, it is good to park on the outskirts of the city in one of the parking lots or at the shopping center. The very trip to the center is worth it. It leads along a wide promenade with palm trees and other unusual species of trees, some of which bloom beautifully during the summer.
Port
The port itself is already part of the historic part of town. In addition to boats, there are especially interesting colorful houses overgrown with flowers.
Picturesque streets
Mogan is a paradise for romantics. More picturesque and flowery streets are difficult to find.
Why Venice?
But why does the port of Mogán compare to Venice? Because even here we find a number of water canals, it must be added that they are cleaner and clearer than in Venice, but without the Gondolas.
Beach
Of course, you can also find a beach in Mogán. However, even though it is a much larger city than, for example, Amadores, the local beach is relatively small and therefore crowded.
Mirador
If you ever find yourself in Mogán, I recommend visiting the local lookout, or mirador, from where you have the entire port in the palm of your hand.
