Or the town below Roque Nublo

The town of Tejeda lies in the very heart of the Canary Island of Gran Canaria, at the bottom of a sunken crater. The town is lined with high rocks and has a breathtaking view of amazing natural scenery. There is a picturesque landscape all around, which is tempting to explore.
Center
The center of the town is the local church Nuestra Señora del Socorro. Around it there are then historical streets and thus the most picturesque part of Tejeda.

Square
The church is located on the square together with the town hall, information and library. At the same time, there is a lookout point with benches, inviting you to relax.

View
From the lookout point there is a beautiful view of the hill Roque Bentayga, which can also be visited.

Local products
Tejeda is known mainly for its specific almond delicacies. Due to the fact that it is an inland town, the temperatures are again much higher than on the coast. For this reason, it is possible to see thermophilic crops such as figs, limes and, of course, almonds. Bananas are also widely grown in Gran Canaria.

Abandoned alleys
As Tejeda is not the primary tourist destination, it is truly an oasis of calm. The local streets are just waiting to be explored.
