Or the highest where it goes

Pico de las Nieves is the second highest peak in Gran Canaria, but very easily accessible. The top can be reached by car. There is also a military base and at the same time you can have a snack in a small stall.
View
I admit that going to the top is nothing for adventurers, but the view here is really worth it. In addition to many pine trees, you can see the nearby Roque Nublo.

Transmitters wherever you look
On the side hill Roque Redondo spoils a bit the view of a number of transmitters.

Fires
Due to the high temperatures in the interior, there are frequent fires. The proof is the charred bark of pine trees. Canary pines have the ability to survive a fire, and even though all their branches burn, they can repaint thanks to the number of adventitious buds under the bark. This is the reason why a large part of the local pines do not have the typical shape of a crown, but rather resemble brooms.

Roque Redondo
You can walk to the next hill Roque Redondo, where in addition to the transmitters there is also a guard house.

View behind the guard house
If we go around the guard house with the unpleasant sight of the guard, we can enjoy a beautiful view of the coast.
