The main center below Annapurna
On the one hand, Pokhara is the second largest city in Nepal, but mainly it is the destination of practically all tourists who visit Nepal. It is a great starting point for a number of beautiful treks. In addition, the peaks of Annapurna can be seen directly from it. The city is followed by a large lake Phewa. Even for those who do not plan more demanding trekking, it offers many opportunities for enjoyment thanks to the prospects available by car.

Walking along Lake Phewa
The city itself does not offer any interesting sights, so tourist life takes place around Lake Phewa. You can rent a boat here or take a walk along the shores of the lake. As a bonus, you can watch the peaks of the Annapuren Ridge from the rooftops of the higher hotels.

Picturesque walk from Pokhara
It may surprise you, but directly from Pokhara can be done very picturesque walk first along Lake Phewa and then along the river Harpan Khola. The path is surrounded by rice fields and green hills. With increasing distance from the town rapidly decrease the number of tourists, so after a while you will meet only locals. The enjoyable outing ends in Ghatichhina at the confluence of two rivers. This trip, however, you can be noticeably improved, but also made difficult by returning over the ridge to the south of the lake. Or you can continue on further on Panchase trek. continue reading
Day 2
Trip to Sarangkot
The next day you will have to get up early if you want to see the sunrise on the most famous lookout over Pokhár. This trip can be improved by walking back. There are a number of paths leading from the ridge down to Lake Phewa.

Annapurnas from the south
Sarangkot (1 560 m asl) is a small village and at the same time the most popular lookout of Annapurnas lying on a hill just 10 km from Pokhara. Even during the deep darkness depart crowds of cars from Pokhara with tourists looking forward for the sunrise. It is even much busier at the parking place and also a lot of pseudo-guides offering you their services not to get lost. As more uphill leads only one way, which is lined with small houses with outlook terraces, their services are completely unnecessary. Day 3
Trip to Peace Pagoda
On the third day, head to another famous viewpoint – Peace Pagoda, on a ridge south of the lake. Just like yesterday, here you can extend the trip with a great hike along the ridge. Here you will see beautiful rice terraces, original life and a landscape without other tourists.

An easier variant of the march through Nehyeaal Danda
The Nehyeaal Danda mountain ridge south of Pokhara offers distinctive villages with beautiful rice terraced fields and a minimum of tourists. In clear weather, there is a nice view of the Annapurna ridge. A simpler version of the march starts at the World Peace Pagoda (1,095 m above sea level), where you can take a taxi and save 300 meters of ascent. continue reading

From Pokhára you can of course go on a number of shorter and longer treks such as Sikles trek, Panchase trek, Poon hill trek or the most famous of them trek to BC Annapurna
