Trip to the most beautiful beaches in the west of Thassos
There are significantly fewer well-known beaches on the west side of Thassos than on its east side. One of the few exceptions is the long Pachis beach and next to it the beautiful Glifoneri bay, which is one of the most beautiful on the island.
Southwest entrance to the beach
If you approach Pachis beach from the south, you can park between the pine trees at the southern end of the beach. After a small path, you will reach the Pefkospilia tavern. Behind it are already organized parts of the beach.
On the beach of Pachis
Pachis beach is sandy and rather shallow, which is why it is also popular with families with smaller children.
On the way along Pachis beach
The southern part of the beach is significantly busier than the northern part. On the one hand, there are more organized sections, but the luxury hotel Sentido Thassos Imperial also intervenes here, which is an interesting accommodation option on this side of the island.
The northern part of Pachis beach
The northern part of Pachis beach is really much calmer than the southern part. The green hills inland can be seen nicely from here.
Walk to Glifoneri beach
If you want to see the adjacent Glifoneri beach, you can take it along the road from the northernmost point of Pachis beach or along the coast along the path along the cliffs.
Glifoneri beach
Glifoneri beach is nice but also quite crowded. Moreover, as the locals complain, occupied by folding sunbeds from Romanian tourists.
Olive trees inland
Groves of olive trees await you inland
