Article Walk from Potos
Hike across several beaches, a rock formation and a peninsula
From the resort of Potos, you can make a whole series of walks or connect them into several larger circuits. One of them is a hike to Notos beach, then along the coast to the rock formation and further along the narrow Potos peninsula. On this relatively short hike, you will come across several nice beaches.
Road to Notos
Right off the bat, the least interesting and relatively unpleasant part of the circuit is to get from Potos to Notos beach on foot. It is approx. 2.5 km along a relatively busy road. Then two nice beaches await you: Notos and Rosonkremos, a path along the rocks to a nice rock formation.

On the southern tip of the island of Thassos, there are several interesting places to visit. On this walk, you will visit three of them: two well-known but overcrowded beaches, Notos and Rosonkremos, and as a bonus, an interesting rock formation rising from the sea (you won't come across any people there). continue reading
View inland
From the rock formation, we will climb the path to the building by the road. Behind it, the path turns inland towards Cape Potos, where we will also go afterwards. A nice view inland opens up from here.

There is also a nice view of Potos from the road. The local firefighters also have a small emergency base here. Now we will join the main road leading to Cape Potos

A pleasant walk from Potos
If you don't want to just lie by the sea on Thassos, there are a number of options for hiking. Challenging hikes naturally lead to the mountains in the interior of the island, but you can also take short walks to various islands and small peninsulas. Potos is the largest tourist resort in the south of the island of Thassos. It is such a good starting point for the whole south of the island, where there are many nice beaches.
