The most interesting for photographers is the sunrise, when the whole mountain range south of the lake is beautifully lit.

- Alternative route to the lake: Except for driving across the pass Laken la, you can get to the lake across the mountains through so called Nyenchen Tangla Trek (Damxung-Nam tso) leading through Tibetan meadows with yaks and icy valley over the pass Kyang-la. Count with around three days.
