Trip to the most famous beach in Karpathos
Karpathos is an island famous for its beautiful beaches. The most dramatic are located in places where the slopes of the highest mountains of the island descend directly into the sea. One of them is Apella, which you can reach either by boat or a narrow mountain road.
Arrival at Apella beach
Even the journey to the beach is an experience. From the main road, which in these places literally cuts into the rock massifs, an even narrower path turns, descending almost three hundred meters to the sea. Here you will definitely pray that as few cars as possible drive in the opposite direction, or God forbid that a bus does not appear here. From the parking lot you will find a few tens of meters to the beach with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain slopes falling directly to the sea.
