Perhaps the most famous beach in Karpathos is 250 meters long Apella. You get here on a narrow, twisted road. From the mountains you go straight into this fairytale bay with beautiful views on all sides. The disadvantage is the huge overcrowding, thanks to the boat trips from Pigadia spewing another hundreds people.
