Bay with two beaches
Christou Pigadi beach is relatively little visited in Karpathos, despite being located in a very magical bay. Maybe it's also due to the fact that thanks to a slight turn, few people come here.
Road to Christou Pigadi beach
Christou Pigadi Beach is located in the southeast of the island, where the road begins to rise into the mountains. From the main road, a marked road turns to the side beach of Damatria, so you have to turn right after a few meters from this road and take a really narrow road almost to the sea. Only a minimum of people are rewarded here.
Northern part of the beach
The northern part of the beach is without sunbeds and almost empty. Although the beach lies on the east coast without waves, but thanks to its position in the south of the island, it can blow unpleasantly here.
A small tavern
You can climb the cliff up the cliff. A little further on is a small tavern where it is possible to have a snack. Thanks to its abandoned location, it probably doesn't have many customers.
Views of Christou Pigadi Beach
From the top of the cliff is a great view of the beach.
Abandoned southern part of the bay
There are actually two different beaches in the bay. the south one is hard to reach, so it's completely empty – perfect for Robinsons.
Inland view
From this point of view, you can see that you are really in places where the boring flat south of the island turns into the mountains,
