The most important monument of Boskovice is the massive ruins of a castle towering on a hill above the town. From a distance, you will be captivated by the massive walls, which indicate how massive this castle must have been. The biggest attraction of the castle is a deep well with an original medieval pedal mechanism.

Church of St. Jakub Starší in Boskovice

The start of the walk to the castle can be, for example, from Masaryk Square in Boskovice. The dominant feature of the lower part of the square is the nice church of St. James the Elder

Town Hall Tower in Boskovice

The biggest attraction and dominant feature of the square, however, is the almost 42 meters high town hall tower. The view from the gallery of the tower is worth it!

Entrance to the inner castle

We climb clockwise between the wall and the inner castle to a large area from where you can enter the inner castle by stairs or go back to the entrance. There is also the famous deep well
