Skiathos - bus transport around the island
Wide and reliable bus network
A big advantage of the transport on the island is that it is reliable and almost the entire island is covered by a network of bus transport. Thanks to these buses, you can get comfortably from the airport, to all the beaches and to the mountain monastery.
All lines meet at a small bus terminal at the northern edge of the harbor.
The main line covers transport from the city along the south-east and south coasts. Most of the beautiful beaches can be reached by this line. Some buses turn off to the popular northwest beach of Aselinos. Another line connects the city with the airport. And the third line leads to Evangelistria Monastery. The lines are clearly marked with a light sign on the buses. Individual stations are clearly numbered.
The shorter section costs 2 Euros and the longer section costs 3 Euros (year 2024). Tickets can be bought at a kiosk in the terminal, from vendors at some stations or from drivers.
