Flight Ciudad Bolivar - Canaima

Of course, most tourists do not buy the flight to Canaima itself, but the whole package, including a visit to the highest waterfall, Salto Angel. A three-day classic trip costs per person for about 300 USD, including a ticket. It flies a 6-seater aircraft (including the pilot).

At the start you can see not only the entire city of Ciudad Bolivar, but also the mighty Orinoco – the second largest river in South America. In these places, its width oscillates between one and two kilometers.

The first views of the surrounding deforested landscape are therefore not very optimistic. Illustrative example of human plundering.

After a while, only secluded houses and an unfathomable savannah with the remains of a forest can be seen

Surprisingly, the fact that many alarm clocks do not work leaves the pilot icy calm, fewer passengers.

An interesting flight over the landscape with thousands of islands. One begins to understand that it is really difficult to bring the road to some places.

Finally, we see what the local landscape looked like before the arrival of man – an endless forest.

The end of the flight is approaching and finally the table mountains appear. Below us is the mighty Caroni River – the second largest in Venezuela after the Orinoco

Just before landing, another large river flies over it – the Rio Carrao, which has a completely different color than the Caroni. The table mountains on the horizon complete the right atmosphere.

The landing is absolutely the best – as in the palm of your hand you have the beautiful lagoon Canaima with several waterfalls
