Starting point for the trek on Roraim

If you want to go on a beautiful trek to Table Mountain Roraimu, you must first travel to the Indian village of Paraitepuy. The easiest way is to get on a night bus in Ciudad Bolivar towards the Brazilian border and get dropped off in the town of San Francisco de Yuraní
San Francisco de Yuruaní
The bus journey from Ciudad Bolivar to San Francisco de Yuruaní is tiring and lasts all night, it is also 680 kilometers here. San Francisco lies at an altitude of almost 900 meters above sea level. The surrounding landscape is a desolate hot savannah as a remnant of the cleared forests.

Drive to Paraitepuy
In San Francisco, it's a good idea to ask for a guide to Roraim and especially for transportation to Paraitepuy, which is still 27 kilometers away on a dirt road leading through a shadowless savannah.

Paraitepuy
We are finally arriving in the Indian town of Paraitepuy. It lies on a hill at an altitude of about 1300 meters above sea level, so there are quite nice views of the surroundings.
