Travel within cities
By air, train or go-bus. Taxis do not have a license to carry a tourist outside the city. There are so-called checkpoints between the cities. A total of thorough checks. „white“ is usually overlooked, but it depends on the inspector. Organized tourist tours control minimally.
Travelling by plane
Domestic flights are quite good. Egyptair, nileair, almasria + another 18 operate there.
Traveling by train
The trains are quite good, unfortunately it is a problem for foreigners to buy a ticket, but for a proper bakshish everything is theoretically possible.
Travelling by bus
I recommend the company GO-Bus have a license to drive tourists. Prices and reservations on its website.
Travelling by private / rental car
Need an international driver's license, but I do not recommend renting much. Quite expensive and still slowly calculate every scratch from the wind.
