One of the most famous attractions of the Stubai Alps is the cable car leading over the Stubai Glacier to the Schaufeljoch pass (3,158m above sea level). From there you can go on a short ascent to the viewing platform with a stated height of 3,210 meters (which seems a bit high). From the lookout there is a very nice view, including the highest mountain of the Zuckerhütl range

Ascent to the TOP of Tyrol viewpoint

The exit is completely safe, it leads up iron stairs with railings on both sides.

View of the Stubai Glacier

Directly below us are the remains of the Stubai Glacier. We can actually see the beginning of the entire Stubai area. Below us, at the end of the glacier, you can also see the intermediate station of the cable car.

View of the Ötztal Alps

To the west, the Ötztal Alps are on the horizon. Right next to the viewing platform is a pointed peak, covering part of the view.

A beautiful lake

After admiring the views on the platform, you can go a few hundred meters to the beautiful lake below the pass

View of the Schaufelspitze (3332 m)

If you want a much better view than the platform offers, take the hiking trail in an eastern direction to the Schaufelspitze (3332 m). The exit path is not difficult, but of course there is a certain step.
