A trip to the Liberec Heights
Lookout and restaurant in one
On a smaller hill above the city of Liberec, there is a very nice lookout tower Liberecká víšina (546m). You can get here on foot from the famous ZOO in Liberec or along a narrow road. It is possible to stay here, eat, but most importantly climb to the lookout tower from where there is a beautiful view of the Liberecká basin

The easiest way to get to the lookout tower is from the Liberec ZOO – a relatively short ascent awaits you, almost exactly one kilometer and 130 meters in height along the yellow tourist route. The building itself is on a sunny top of the hill and is dominated by a lookout tower (without it you would practically not see anything, because tall trees stand around like a wall.
Way from the road
Alternatively, you can drive below the height by car, you also have about a kilometer and five turns on a narrow and broken road. At the end of the road there is a small parking lot for about 5 cars, and then only hotel guests can drive up.
The lake below the hill
There is a rock below the hill and a lake below it. It's a small enclosure for llamas and other animals. A small attraction for children.
Ascent to the Liberecká víšina lookout
After passing the restaurants, a self-service turnstile awaits you and then up the stairs to the lookout tower. On the walls hang interesting historical pictures from the heights and from Liberec
Beautiful view of Liberec
The main view is of course to the southeast – directly below you you have Liberec as if in the palm of your hand. Behind it rises the Ještěd ridge and on it the most famous landmark of Liberec – Ještěd

In the opposite direction, there is a view of the forested Jizera Mountains
