A hill with the new and old Australian Parliament
In the center of Canberry you will find the indistinct Capital Hill, topped by the architecturally interesting Australian Parliament Building. The second interesting thing is that it is actually in the center of a huge roundabout. The third attraction is that a short walk away is the historic building of the original parliament
Parliament
The first thing that will surprise you when you approach the parliament is its immersion in the surrounding terrain. The dominant feature is the huge Australian flag
Front view of the Australian Parliament
The front view with a small pond is probably the most typical
Boardroom
There are relatively enough seats in the parliament accessible to the public (in the event that this is not the case)
Beautiful view from the roof of the parliament
From the roof is a beautiful view of the surrounding hilly landscape. Directly in front of us is the old parliament building and in the distance the Australian War Memorial under the Mount Ainslie lookout hill.
View of the Black Mountain
Black Mountain (812m above sea level) is typical and unmissable thanks to its transmitter on top
Old parliament building
We move through the parks half a kilometer lower to the old parliament building.
