A place made for relaxation
Next to Australia’s most famous building, the Sydney Opera House, is the sprawling Royal Botanic Garden. It is a beautiful place with views of Sydney Harbor and Downtown. It is a popular local place for relaxation and walks. Admission is free and open every day
Coastal promenade
The north end of the Botanical Gardens is lined with a coastal promenade from where there are really great views of Downtown City
Views of the Sydney Opera House
The promenade also has a great view of the opera and the Harbor Bridge
In the botanical garden
The botanical garden itself looks more like a nice and well-kept park
Birds in the botanical garden
The botanical zoo is a popular place for many birds. Withered trees are the work of fruit bats, which have a large colony here.
Kaloni
A great attraction for visitors, but a disaster for the valuable trees in the botanical garden is a huge colony of fruit bats
Cactus roundabout
Even the crossroads here are nicely devised
Walk through the botanical garden
Even thanks to the rocks, it is nice and photogenic here
Like two different worlds
An oasis of calm just a few hundred meters from the skyscrapers. The Botanic Gardens are one of the best places in Sydney to go for a walk
