This mountains are located along the border of the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the South Moravian and Zlín regions. The highest peak is Velká Javořina, 970 meters above sea level. The central part is protected: The White Carpathians PLA was established on 3 November 1980 and extends to the districts of Hodonín, Uherské Hradiště and Zlín. Deciduous forests predominate, mostly beech, the area is known for its unique flowery meadows.
