Highest mountains: Sázava springs in the protected landscape area Žďárské vrchy. There are also the largest hills in the relative vicinity of this river. The highest of them is the Nine Rocks (836 m above sea level). There is also, for example, Zákova hora (809 m above sea level) with an educational trail or Tisúvka (809 m above sea level). all these hills are easily accessible from the Velké Dářko dam.
