Úpské peat bog (1 432 m above sea level) is an extensive high-lying peat bog. It is a classic Nordic tundra phenomenon in Central European conditions. Renowned by its wooden walkway leading from Luční bouda directly to Sněžka. River Upa has the highest spring from the Czech rivers.
