Rhine Falls (German Rheinfall) are the largest waterfalls in Europe (the largest in terms of watery). It lies on the Upper Rhine between Neuhausen am Rheinfall and Laufen-Uhwiesen, near the town of Schaffhausen in the northern part of Switzerland. They are 150 m wide and 23 m tall. In winter months, the average water flow is only 250 m³ / s, while in the summer it increases up to 700 m³ / s. The maximum flow rate of 1250 m³ / s was measured in 1965.
