To the west of Annapuren directly above the valley of the famous river Khali Gandaki rises the Nilgri massif, with the highest peak Nilgri North (7,061m above sea level). There are two other important mountains in the massif, namely Nilgri Central (6,940m) and Nilgri South (6,839m).
