They been there:

You will not meet many hikers during the hike from Tukuche to Kalopani. Most of them just zip around you in a bus or jeep, but they do a mistake. It is certainly worth to complete the trek around Annapurna despite the fact that there is already a road since the views of Dhaulagiri and Nilgri are awesome.

Oasis at Kali Gandaki

The valley of Kali Gandaki broadens a lot after a few minute walk from picturesque Tukuche, in places to almost 400 meters. The ridge on the horizon is only at 2/3 of this stage. Behind the walls preventing flooding there are fertile fields and fruit trees.

Kali Gandaki before Larjung

Before Larjung is a long pedestrian footbridge over Kali Gandaki. Unfortunately, it is in several places interrupted as its parts were taken by great water. Locals built here another row of makeshift bridges but even though it is sometimes necessary to wade through if you want to get to the other side.

Monumental Dhaulagiri

The seventh highest mountain in the world exceeds the bottom of Kali Gandagi, from where you can observe it from more than five and a half kilometers lower.

Line Jomsom - Pokhara

Aircrafts flying from Pokhara to Jomsom fly around the massif of Nilgri very close, so in good weather it is definitely a wonderful experience.

Shortcut across the river

Just behind the last houses in Larjung makes the road a big detour to the bridge over a small river. This river can be jumped over the stones most of the year, so you can save more than one kilometer, if you dare to walk in a shortcut like locals.

Kalopani

You will then walk across the bridge to the other side of the river and leave the main road for some time. This section is, however, without any views and is not very interesting. In places where Kali Gandaki gets from a broad flat valley into narrow and fierce stream, go over the bridge back to the main road and you're nearly in Kalopani.

Kalopani

Kalopani is an agricultural village with lots of accommodation facilities. It can be seen that the best tourist times have already passed.
