The Peace Mound Memorial was built in honor of the victims of Napoleon's victorious battle of Austerlitz (December 2, 1805) according to the intention of the priest A. Slovák as the fulfillment of his idea to make the center of the former battlefield a reverent „place of light“, a memento of wars. It is the dominant feature and the natural center of the protected monument zone Slavkovské bojiště.
