Fortress above Pitztal
The summit of Mittagskogel (3,159 meters above sea level) is an easily accessible 3,000 m high mountain, which as a lonely fortress thrives above the Pitztal valley. Thanks to the Pitztal Express you can reach the restaurant up to a height of 2,841 meters above sea level and from there it is only 300 meters to the top. In addition, you can go back to Mittelberg (1,720 meters above sea level) along the hiking trail.
