The most beautiful mountain in Europe
It is considered one of the most beautiful and popular mountains in Europe. At 4,478 meters above sea level, it is also the seventh highest mountain in the Alps. It is the most photographed mountain in the world. It rises on the border between Switzerland and Italy, above the Swiss Zermatt and the Italian city of Breuil-Cervinia. It was the last 4,000-meter mountain that had not been conquered. This did not happen until July 14, 1865, with only two returning from a group of seven.
