Only 30 kilometers north of the regional city of Pilsen is the picturesque town of Manětín. Its most important is the picturesque castle with an adjacent park. The castle is located right in the middle of the city next to the main road. The castle acquired its current form through a Baroque reconstruction under Václav Josef Lažanský and his wife Marie Gabriela in 1712.
