The original lookout tower was built in 1920 under the name „Freedom Lookout Tower“. In 2012, however, it burned to the ground. Then a collection was organized for the construction of a new lookout tower and in 2015 its construction began. Now there is a steel lookout tower with a viewing platform at a height of 25 meters. The entrance to the lookout tower is via a self-service turnstile. From the viewing platform there is a beautiful view of the city of Tábor and the Větrovy zoo.
