Walk to the pilgrimage site Klokoty

The ideal starting point for this walk is the southwestern end of the center of Tábor at the castle tower Kotnov. From here we will descend along the green tourist sign Klokotská Street towards the valley of the Tismenický brook

Looking back we will see the castle tower Kotnov. The valley of the Tismenický brook itself is an ideal place for Tábor athletes, in addition to hiking trails there is also a bike path. The road will eventually take you to the bridge over the stream after a few hundred meters

The road climbs quite steeply up a tall linden alley

Along the alley are 14 Stations of the Cross

Finally you are at the end of this short walk – in front of you is a picturesque place of pilgrimage Klokoty

The center of the pilgrimage site is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The area is small, but nice, in addition, freely accessible

Another attraction here is a wooden nativity scene

There is more option to return to Tábor, either the same way or if you want to walk more you can continue further along the green and after meeting the Lužnice return along the river along the red tourist path
