Although the Dom is one of the highest mountains in Europe with its height above sea level , unlike the Matterhorn and Weisshorn, it is not dominant over the surroundings. When you climb Randy (the so-called normal), you will see views of the very top, right up to the glacier. Due to its height and accessibility, the Dom becomes a target for many climbers.
