The castle was founded in 1262. After 1420 he changed several owners when the castle Příběnice was demolished. The importance of this castle has grown during the Hussite wars. They were imprisoned here Hussite priests. The Hussites never attacked Castle Choustník, but they always walked around it. In 1614 it was already declared desolate. In the vicinity of the castle are beautiful rock formations.
