The best of the most famous mountain range in Bolivia
The Cordillera Real is a still heavily glaciated mountain range east of La Paz and Lake Titicaca. Here you will find a whole series of six thousand peaks, including the highest mountains of Bolivia. The western slopes fall to the Altiplano plateau, while the eastern ones reach the depths of the Amazon. Chacaltaya
The former world's highest ski slope
Chacaltaya is basically not very interesting mountain. Rather, it's just such a lackluster peak. What makes it interesting is the outlook from it of the surrounding glaciated giants and most importantly, that it is easily accessible five thousand meters high mountain as the small road leading to the mountain hut ends just a little more than a hundred vertical meters below the peak.
