Electrical sockets
The plugs in Panama are type A and B. The standard voltage is 110 V and the standard frequency is 60 Hz.
Internet and phone
The first thing I have to say about the prepaid SIM card is that the internet and data connection is great especially in cities. Outside the city, there are still many places (mountains, beaches and jungles) where the connection is weak or even non-existent. There are 4 telephone operators in the country: + movil, Claro, Tigo and Digicel. You can buy a prepaid SIM card upon arrival at Tocumen International Airport. However, for me, I would recommend buying it outside the airport in the city, because prices at the airport are much higher (about 2.5 times) compared to shops in the city.
