Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

The weather and climate in Bolivia are influenced by two important factors. First season and also geographical location. The west of the country, where the Atacama Desert and the Altiplano Plateau are, is significantly drier than the east with its misty jungle and Amazon.

Winter

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

Bolivian winter is from the end of May to August. At this time, it is practically still sunny without clouds and there is minimal precipitation, especially in June. Absolutely ideal time for trekking. The disadvantages are a very short day. If you tent, you will spend a lot of time in the tent due to the darkness. It's cold – often –15 degrees and more on Altiplan.

Overcrowding

Petr Liška Wrote 27.01.2013:

There are still no classic crowds of tourists in Bolivia as in other countries, but of course there are a lot of tourists at classic stops such as Titicaca, La Paz, Salar tour, etc. But all you have to do is leave the city, go to the mountains and you will find that it is completely empty here. You can take hikes here, where you really won't meet a living soul for several days. Land perfect for vagrants!
