St. Anna is a low rounded hill just a short distance from the district town of Jicin. It is interesting in that there is a nice baroque chapel at the top. Part of the composed landscape of the Marian Garden. The classic starting point for this hill is from Dolní Lochov. In winter, the variant from Ostružno is also pleasant

Church of the Exaltation of St. Crosses in Ostružno

We start the walk in Ostružno, where you can park by a pretty impressive church. Tip for photographers – it is especially nicely lit in the late afternoon

View of Sv. Annu

From the church, we head west along the road leading to the Sklář swimming pool. Right behind the last houses, we have a view of the destination of our walk – the hill of St. Anna

At a lone tree

In the places where the road starts to turn, just opposite a lonely tree in the middle of a field, we leave it and go straight to the hill. Maybe there will be a footprint from someone, maybe you will have to go first, so it depends a lot on the state of the snow, whether this passage through the field will be pleasant or hell

Straight to the hill

Head to the western end of the grove, because there you will find a path leading to the top of the hill

View of Dolní Lochov

When you ascend the terrain wave, you will also have a view of the other side, where Dolní Lochov lies below the hill, a closer starting point to this hill.

Under the top

We climb the path to the top. Thanks to the fact that the trees are without leaves, the chapel at the top can be seen from a distance

St. Anna top

Finally we stand on top and we can see an interesting chapel. However, the views from the top are not even in winter. For them you have to climb below the level of the top grove

Descent to Ostružno

From the hill you can go through the snowy fields basically directly to the starting point of this walk. Maybe cross-country skiers will tell you. On the horizon you can see the most beautiful view far and wide – Veliš hill
