To the most beautiful castle in the Czech Paradise
One of the symbols of the Bohemian Paradise is the Humprecht hunting lodge, located just a short distance from the picturesque town of Sobotka. Apart from the tours of Humprecht, you can also take a pleasant short walk to Sobotka, where there are also several sights to see.
Panorama of Sobotka
We will start the walk at the parking lot at the Sobotecký cemetery. It can also be viewed – there are three war memorials: the war of 1866, and then the First and Second World Wars. There is also the grave of the most famous native of Sobot – Fráni Šrámek. A footpath runs along the cemetery (a blue-marked tourist route in the direction of Humprecht. From the footpath there is a beautiful view of Sobotka with the dominant church of St. Mary Magdalene.
Ascent to Humprecht
A long staircase then leads to the beautiful castle itself
Lookout - lookout from Humprecht
There is a top walkway with benches around the entire castle, but the view is very limited due to the overgrown trees. At sunset, however, it always has an interesting atmosphere here.
Descent to Sobotka
We descend from the castle and can still admire this beautiful building.
Parkour under Humprecht
Anyone who likes horses will enjoy everything that comes out of the forest. There is a parkour, and you will almost always come across some horses
Folk buildings in Sobotka
We turn onto the green marked tourist route and along Novoměstská street we reach the part of Sobotka, where there are a number of beautiful folk buildings.
Peace Square in Sobotka
We arrive at náměstí Míru in Sobotka, where we can have refreshments. From there we continue along the yellow hiking trail back to the cemetery where we end this short but nice walk.
