City at the beginning of the Silk Road

The ancient city of Xian (also written by Si-an) has been spoken for over 3,000 years. It is one of the most prominent places in China's rich history, with 11 Chinese imperial dynasties settled there, and it was also the starting point of the famous Silk Road. At a time when Beijing was a mere settlement, inhabited golden Xian with colorful temples, wide boulevards, and architectural excuses with about 2 million inhabitants.
Bell Tower of Xi'an ('钟楼)
A large building in the very center of Xi'an, situated in the middle of a large roundabout. This is a copy of a building from the 14th century. However, a copy is from 1739.

City walls (西安 城墙)
The city walls (inner fortifications) protected the city on four sides in the length of 14 km. The gate on each side of the world is guarded by three towers. The walls are 12m high and 12–14m wide at the top and 15–18m at the foot.

A picturesque place full of narrow streets, food stalls, shops and people, where one feels like one has found oneself in an unadulterated Arab bazaar.
