The most beautiful outlook of Abyaneh
If you come to the red village Abyaneh belonging among the oldest in Iran, definitely go to see the local fort Palahamooneh lying on the other side of the valley. Below the castle
Castle Palahamooneh is actually just a simple rectangular fortress with a bastion in every corner. It stands on an arid upland plain only 25 altitude meters above the bottom of the oasis. There are two pathways leading here – either directly up the steeper path or relatively big detour through the upland plain.
In the castle
You will get to the castle through one of the few holes in ancient ramparts. The fort is protected by the cliff only from one side. On the other side are several hundred meters wide plains and thus the enemies attack would certainly be more likely from here.

The main reason why most tourists undertakes a trip to the castle is the view on the other side of the valley of entire Abyaneh. Although you are in Iran, it will remind you of distant Morocco. On the mountain, directly above the town, is the ruin of another castle – Pala.
