Traveling by train
The train is more practical for those who want to diversify a visit to the open-air museum with a short tour. The nearest stop is in Vitanov (4km from the open-air museum on the green tourist route). Passenger trains on the Hlínsko-Havlíčkuv Brod route stop at the stop
Travelling by bus
The nearest bus stop is in Dřevíkov (buses from Hlinsko run here), about half a kilometer from the parking lot for passenger cars
Travelling by private / rental car
The easiest way to get to the open-air museum is by car. It lies just a short distance from the first class road number 37. The nearest towns are Trhová Kamenice (5km), Hlínsko (9km) and Ždírec nad Doubravou (9km) Parking is charged 50CZK
Traveling on foot
If you have more time, a visit to Veselý Kopec is ideal as part of a day trip. Start in Hlínsko (nice town hall and another open-air museum Betlem) follow the green tourist path along the river Chrudimka around Stanský mlýn to Veselý kopec. From there via Svobodné Hamry (the second part of the Vysočina open-air museum and chateau) to Trhová Kamenice. From there back by bus ** (total 12km) **.
