Swimming in the south of the urban agglomeration
Al-Kout is located at the very southern end of the vast Kuwaiti agglomeration. You can easily get here by bus 999, which basically copies the seaside highway and serves the city districts in the south. There are several nice beaches in Al-Kout where you can swim even at low tide.
View of the beaches in Al Kout
From the observation tower on the nice souq in Al-Kout, there is a nice view across the harbor to both beaches. It is definitely worth going to the more distant one, where it is cleaned and more peaceful. Due to the long strip of sand and palm trees on the edges, the development is practically not visible from the beach. Which is nice, and in Kuwait, accessible toilets are common, where you can, for example, change your clothes, see yellow building between the beaches
Road to the beach
As in most places in Kuwait, the beach here is lined with a promenade with palm trees – and it is clean here.
Empty Kuwaiti beaches
Locals usually go to the beaches in the late afternoon and only a small part of them swim here. So from that point of view there is plenty of swimming space during the day.
View from the sea
Although there is a massive development inland, fortunately it is only minimally visible from the sea
A beach just for us
If you like privacy and don't need the overcrowded beaches of the Mediterranean, this is the place for you.
