The island, together with the adjacent mainland, is a protected nature reserve. It is located just a short distance from the mainland in the most popular tourist area of Punta Cana and is therefore a popular destination for tourists.
Boat to the island
The only way to get to the island is about an hour's boat ride from the town of Bayahibe. On the way along the coast, it is possible to enjoy the local vegetation and buildings. The road also leads around the famous blue lagoon.

White beaches
On the island you will find really attractive beaches with fine sand and palm trees overhead. During the day, some beaches gradually become populated.

Swimming in the turquoise sea
