Aerial view over a steep rock face
The path to the steep cliffs SW of the edge of the Serra de Tramuntana is interesting for its mountain scenery and breathtaking finish overlooking the neighboring island of Dragonera.
Coll de Sa Gremola
The starting point is the Coll de Sa Gremola saddle, located at an altitude of 355 m above sea level. We come here by car on the road leading from the town of Andratx to the village of Estellencs.
Homestead
From the car park, take the „Camí d´es Campás“ west. After a few hundred meters, a view towards the coast appears behind the bend.
Abandoned trees
A comfortable road undulates the mountain landscape, part of which was hit by a forest fire.
Coastal mountains
The short climb brings us to another of the many vantage points.
Puig de Ses Basses
Behind a small rock break appears the peak of the Puig de Ses Basses, 492 m above sea level, which we will bypass from its northern side.
West Coast
During the next step, a view towards the west coast of the island opens up for us at a few hundred meters.
Tourists
At all times we meet only two couples and one group of tourists. Out of season there is peace here.
Ses Serres
At the signpost at a place called Cas Guixers, continue right up. Soon we have a view of the steep cliffs of Ses Serres.
Above the cliffs
From the north, we bypass the top of Puig de Ses Basses along a narrow footpath and climb a plateau.
Cab Fabioler
On the plateau of Cape Cab Fabioler, turn right and approach the edge of the cliff.
Mirador d´en Josep Sastre
From this viewpoint, also called the „Devil's Balcony“, we look vertically down to a depth of 430 meters. Dragon Island is in the palm of your hand.
West Coast
The same way we return to the parking lot with alternative treatments to lookout points.
